SELF STORAGE FINALLY ARRIVES IN WAIKELE!
Three Kama’aina businessmen have developed a portion of the Waikele “caves” into conventional self storage units for public rental.. They had a vision that these large caves could provide value priced self storage for Oahu Honolulu Waikele consumers.

Only 2 minutes from Waikele Shopping Center on Oahu near Honolulu, the former Navy ammunition storage facility was created during World War II. Each of 120 cave-like compartments was dug out of solid rock into the lower portion of Kipapa Gulch to securely store weapons and munitions. Used from 1943 until the mid 1980’s, the caves were cleared out and cleaned by the Navy when they sealed them all in 1987. Made available only a few months ago, each cave has a loading dock and ramp leading to secure entrances made of thick steel.

Inside, Waikele Self Storage has installed brand new customer storage lockers of various sizes. Each locker is equipped with steel walls and a locking steel rollup door. All cave interiors are well lit, with concrete floors, natural year round climate control and easy access through the wide aisles. Waikele Self Storage provides dollies and carts for easy loading and there is plenty of parking.
